Privacy

A short, accurate account of what this site collects. It is a personal site, not a product, and it collects about as little as a site can.

Who is responsible

Diego Castillo, Lima, Peru. Reachable at contact@diegocastillo.dev for anything on this page, including a request to delete what I hold about you.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to see which pages people read and where they arrive from. It sets cookies.

Nothing loads until you accept. Not loaded with tracking disabled, not loaded and throttled — if you decline, or simply ignore the banner, no request is made to Google at all and no cookie is set. Your choice is stored in your own browser, and the link in the footer changes it. IP addresses are anonymised before they reach Google.

The contact form

What you type is what I get: your name, your email address, your subject and your message. It is relayed straight to my mailbox and a copy is sent to you, so you have a record of what you wrote.

There is no database behind this site and no customer list. Your message lives in my inbox the way any other email does, and nowhere else. I do not add you to a mailing list — there is no mailing list.

Abuse prevention

To stop the form being used to send spam, the function that handles it keeps the IP addresses of recent submissions in memory for 24 hours and then forgets them. They are never written to disk and never leave that process.

Hosting

The site is served by Azure Static Web Apps. Microsoft records ordinary server request logs, as every web host does. I do not have access to anything in them that identifies you.

Two other things load from elsewhere: the typeface comes from Google Fonts, and the booking calendar on the services page is Calendly, which runs only on that page. Both see your IP address because your browser has to ask them for something.

What I never do

I do not sell your data, share it with anyone, use it to advertise to you, or profile you. There is nothing here that would make that worth doing.

Your rights

Write to contact@diegocastillo.dev and ask me to show you what I hold or to delete it, and I will. In practice that means finding our email thread and removing it, which takes a minute. You do not need to give a reason and I will not ask for one.

This page describes how the site behaves today. If that changes, this changes with it.
